MARS - Check The Night Skies
On the 27th of August check the night skies. It's the day of days that the Whole World is waiting for
Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky and look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will happen on 27 August when Mars comes within 34.65 million miles of earth.
So check your calendar an be sure to watch the sky on 27 Aug, 12:30 am. Some say it will look like the earth has two moons.
Upon checking this story out further, the problem is that "August 27th" is actually August 27, 2003. Mars did make a historically close pass by Earth at that time, and when magnified 75 times in a telescope, it looked (in the telescope) the size the Moon.
So as stories go, this one you may want to pass on. Nevertheless, the next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. And that's a story
